How’d it Go: Mailloux Racing – Barrie Race

MAILLOUX RACING MULTI-PODIUMS IN BARRIE, ON

The Mailloux Racing team was at the Georgian Downs, in Innisfil, Ontario, this weekend, February 18-19, for round 3 of the CSRA Snowcross Championship. The sunshine and warm temperatures were there for a perfect racing weekend, with a total of eight podiums for our team, six of which by our Ski-Doo rider #111, Nathan Mailloux.

On Saturday, Nathan begins his day with the Transition 8-12 class, placing 6th and 1st in qualifications. In the final, he ran a great race, and got to the checkered flag 1st. In the Junior 10-13 class, Nathan finishes 2nd and 1st in his two heats races, giving him the 1st place overall. Nathan then got a perfect day in the Junior F2 13-17 class, with the win in his two heats, for the 1st place overall.

Nathan repeats that on Sunday, with three more podiums. He begins with a win in the Transition 8-12 class, after a 2nd and a 1st place in the qualifying rounds. Nathan placed 2nd in both of his races in the Junior 10-13 class, giving him a 2nd place finish overall. In the Junior F2 13-17 class, Nathan got the win in the two heats races, wrapping up his weekend with the 1st place overall.

Our Ski-Doo rider #880, Martin Mailloux, is also having a good weekend in Barrie, with two podiums in the Pro AM+30 class. On Saturday, Martin finishes 6th in his first heat race, and was 2nd at the checkered flag after a great second race, placing him 3rd overall. On Sunday, Martin finishes 4th and 2nd of his two qualifying rounds, ending up his weekend in 2nd place overall.

How’d It Go: Mailloux Racing – Salamanca & Sault-Ste-Marie Race

NATHAN MAILLOUX SECOND IN ISOC IN SALAMANCA, NY

After two weekends off, the Mailloux Racing team was back in action this weekend, with a very heavy schedule, comprising races in two different series, and two different countries, traveling nearly 2800km in four days. Although races were planned in the Canadian CSRA Championship for February 4-5, in Sault-Ste-Marie, ON, the team decided to add a race to its schedule by traveling first to Salamanca, NY, this February 3, for the US Air Force Snocross National, 5th round of the ISOC Amsoil Championship Snocross.

It is on the site of Seneca Allegany Casino, in Salamanca, NY, that a technical and fast track was builted. Only our Ski-Doo rider #111, Nathan Mailloux, was in action in New York, with races in the National Transition 8-12 and the Junior 10-13 classes. Nathan feel very comfortable on the track, making a series of double, and collect a 1st and a 2nd place finish in his qualifying rounds in Transition 8-12. In the final, Nathan had a great start, and got to the checkered flag in 2nd place, earning a well deserved first podium this season in Transition 8-12 at a National ISOC. In the Junior 10-13 class, Nathan placed 2nd and 5th in his two heats. In the final, he had a great race, fighting hard with the leaders, and ended up his day in New York with the 4th place finish.

In mid-afternoon, following these great performances by Nathan in ISOC, the team hit the road to Sault-Ste-Marie, Ontario, for the Highland Ford Can-Am Cup, round 2 of the CSRA Snowcross Championship, which takes place at The Yard, located right next to the Canada/United-States bridge.

On Saturday, Nathan continues on his momentum in Transition 8-12, with two 1st places in qualifications, and the win in the final. In the Junior 10-13 class, Nathan has a good race line, and finishes 1st in his two heats races, for the 1st place overall. The Junior F2 13-17 class completes its schedule for Saturday, and Nathan ended up 4th in the first round, after coming off his sled while leading, and 1st in the second round, giving him a 3rd place finish overall. Unfortunately, Nathan was unable to race on Sunday, suffering from pain and discomfort still unknown.

Our Ski-Doo rider #880, Martin Mailloux, was ready for his races in the Pro AM+30 class in Sault-Ste-Marie. On Saturday, Martin finishes 5th in his two heats races, placing him also 5th overall. Martin has great races on Sunday, finishing 3rd and 2nd of his two qualifying rounds. After the disqualification of the winner, Martin got the 1st place overall.

Great Start for Mailloux Racing in CSRA at Rouyn-Noranda

It is this weekend, January 14-15, that Mailloux Racing began his season in the Canadian Snowcross Championship in Abitibi. This first round of the CSRA Circuit took place within the 7th edition of the Grand Prix International Snowcross de Rouyn-Noranda.

Practices were in the schedule on Saturday morning to enable all the riders to get some track times as the season gets underway. In the afternoon, just our Ski-Doo rider #880, Martin Mailloux, was in action in the Pro AM+30 class. He finishes in 4th place in both of his qualifying rounds, which gives him the 4th place overall. During the Sunday races, Martin ends up 5th in his two races, placing him 5th overall.

Our Ski-Doo rider #111, Nathan Mailloux, was looking forward to start his season on the CSRA Circuit on Sunday, racing in three classes. Nathan gets a strong start in Transition 8-12, with wins in his two qualifying rounds, and also in the final. In the Junior 10-13 class, Nathan got 1st to the checkered flag in the first round, but came 2nd in the second round, giving him the 2nd place overall. Nathan was also racing in the Junior F2 13-17 class, and he got two more wins, ending up 1st at the end of the weekend.

The Mailloux Racing team will benefit from two weekends off, because the next round at the Georgian Downs, in Innisfil, Ontario, has been rescheduled for the weekend of February 18-19. The second round of the CSRA Snowcross Championship will therefore take place in Sault-Ste-Marie, Ontario, on February 4-5, with the Highland Ford Can-Am Cup.

Great Performance By Nathan Mailloux in CSRA

The Mailloux Racing Snocross team was in action this past Easter weekend in Ontario for the Final round of the CSRA Championship. The final round included three days of racing, March 25-27, on the ski slope of the Horseshoe Resort near Barrie. Nathan Mailloux impressed with his great performances against the CSRA riders, and all together they put on a great show with clean racing all weekend.

Ski-Doo rider #111, Nathan Mailloux, started strong on Friday with a 1st place finish in each of his qualification rounds in Transition 8-13. He continue to prove it when he brought his Ski-Doo #111 to the 1st place at the checkered flag in the final. In the Junior 10-13 class, Nathan ended his qualification rounds in 3rd and 1st place, which gave him 2nd place overall. Nathan did it again on Saturday in Transition 8-13, taking a 1st and 2nd place in the qualification rounds. He earned another victory in Transition 8-13 in the final. Nathan placed 2nd in his first qualification in Junior 10-13. In his second qualification, Nathan got hit from behind in the first lap, then run over by a sled, and ended up in last place. This incident unfortunately gave him a 5th place overall. On Sunday, Nathan finished in 1st and 2nd place in his qualification rounds in Transition 8-13. He had a great race in the final, but had to settle for 3rd place at the finish line. Nathan was again having some problems in the Junior 10-13 class. In his first heat, he was running 1st when he lost control and finish last. In his second heat, he finished 2nd, but for an unknown reason the timing system got him in 9th place, which gave him the 9th place in the overall.

Ski-Doo rider #880, Martin Mailloux, was also in action in the Sport Masters class. On Friday, Martin finished 5th and 4th in his qualifying rounds, which gave him 5th place overall. Martin placed in 5th and 4th position in the qualification rounds on Saturday in Sport Masters. In the overall, he got the 4th place. On Sunday, Martin wrapped up his weekend with a 5th place overall, after taking a 4th and a 5th place in the qualifying rounds.

The Mailloux Racing Team will conclude their 2016 season next weekend, April 9, during the Grande Finale at the 2nd Snocross de Rivière-du-Loup, 9th and last round of the Quebec SCMX championship. Martin Mailloux, native of Rivière-du-Loup, will have the chance to race in front of parents and friends.

MAILLOUX RACING IN LA DORÉ, QC

After one weekend off, the Mailloux Racing Snocross Team was back in action in Lac St-Jean, Qc, this past weekend, March 19-20, for the 7th round of the SCMX Championship at the Rallye des Loups de La Doré.

Nathan Mailloux started in qualifications on Saturday with a 2nd place in the Junior 10-13 class. However, he placed 6th in his qualifying heat in the Junior 14-15 class. In the finals, Ski-Doo rider #111 finished in 5th place in the Junior 10-13 class, and just shy of the podium with a 4th place finish in the Junior 14-15 class. Sunday looked to be the same as his Saturday when Nathan ended his qualifications rounds with a 2nd place in Junior 10-13, and a 6th place in Junior 14-15. In the Junior 10-13 final, Nathan brought his Ski-Doo #111 to the 4th place at the checkered flag. Nathan rounded out his tough weekend with a 6th place in the Junior 14-15 class.

Ski-Doo rider #880, Martin Mailloux, was also having a difficult weekend. His Saturday started with a 7th place in qualification in the Masters +35 class, and a 6th place in the Masters +40 class. In the finals, Martin finished his race in the Masters+35 class in 6th position. He ended up in 5th position in the Masters +40 class. In the qualifying rounds on Sunday, Martin placed 6th in the Masters+35 class, and 4th in the Masters +40 class. In the finals, Martin ended his weekend with a 5th place in the Masters +35 and Masters +40 classes.
